Congratulations, Bruce Peterson, for a remarkable 30 years of designing and running Sailworks! It is a well earned “end of an era”, and it is an honor to have been but a small part of that journey. From the beginning of a windsurfing addiction when I thought a 5.0m sail meant 40 knots (see video) I rode the Sailworks Revolution because Bruce wanted to support me as a young rider he saw at the 2003 Canadian Windsurfing Championships. Sailworks backed the beginning of my professional windsurfing career on the PWA World Tour 10 years later, employed me for 5 years at the Sailworks loft when I moved to the Gorge, and has supported me in countless other ways throughout my entire life. I am beyond grateful for the steadfast support and friendship from Bruce, Dale, and Jim. Thank you!
Although this end of an era means it’s the end of me riding for the Sailworks brand, I look forward to continue stopping by the loft (just down the street from where we live), and sharing the Gorge winds with Bruce, Dale, Jim, and the windsurfing community they have created.
